Hallo, Har noen informasjon om militære poster? Jeg tror at disse to unge mennene er min bestefar Olav Knutsson Rysstad (1877) og hans bror Olav Knutsson Rysstad (1879). Så antar jeg at dette bildet ble tatt på slutten av 1800-tallet eller kanskje i begynnelsen av det 20. århundre? Ved å se på deres uniformer kan du fortelle når de tjente og deres rangering? Hvis ikke, kan det kanskje være militære poster skriftlig som bekrefter deres tjeneste? Takk

Hello once again, Olav Knutsson Rysstad is mentioned here. He is my great grandfather. Not sure what he did if he was a deputy or governor? Could someone translate what is being said about him? Thanks for your time.

Hello again, I found some new pages that mention Knut Tarjeisson Uppstad and his son Tarjei Knutsson Uppstad. I try to use Google translate but it doesn't make sense trying to understand what is being said. If anybody has time, could you tell me what is being said about these two men? Thank you so much.

For the hylestad, Valle region ... preferably Nomeland/Helle/Uppstad/Rysstad .... anybody know where I can find documents showing the names of the land owners. I'd like to see not just a list of who lives on a property, but maybe seeing their signature, along with tax records, etc. I've searched the digital archives, but it's been hard to find specific people ... seems that the census, birth and death are the only type of files I've come across. Any thoughts or suggestions?
