Er det noe her som er kjent med Voien? Min oldefars farfar, Peder Pedersen Vaaja (f. 1824) reiste til USA om 1850. Han hadde en bror (Engebret) som var en husmann paa gaarden i 1865. Her i USA, Peders soen, Edvard, brukt navnet Voyen, og soennen hans, Albert, brukt Woyen. (sorry for the somewhat bad Norwegian)

I think I may just have to check that out. I knew Verlyn when I was at Concordia. Of course, that was some time ago. A friend of mine and I will probably join. I'm guessing that, due to the very high number of Norwegians on this board, somebody might have some good ideas for finding Norwegians who emmigrated to the USA. There have long been rumors in my family of another group that came over (which I recently was able to find as Peder Ingebretsen in 1868). We never have been able to figure out who they were, where they went, etc... Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
