I did not find a Paul Paulsen (or Paulson) in Connecticut, but there is a Paul Paulsen in Brooklyn, New York. The information is: Paul Paulsen, head, 30, married at age 27, Norwegian, works as an automobile mechanic.Wife Ida, 28, married at age 25, ItalianBrother Thorsten, 22, Single, Norwegian, works as an automobile mechanic.Their address is 4701 7th Avenue. The microfilm number is T626-1511. Enumeration District 1196, page 13B.

Kathy, Thank you VERY much!!!! This is my uncle!!The brother Thorstein (my uncle) died in USA when he was still young, but I have often wondered if I could find close relatives after Paul Inge.He may have moved to Norwich later? Is it possible to see from the census if Paul Inge has any children at that time?Thank you again! Eva

There were no children listed in the census.Another thing -- from the other people listed, they were living in the Norwegian section of Brooklyn. Being from the Midwest, I don't know a lot about that area, but there is a good deal of literature available about the Norwegian immigrants in New York. And the Norway Times newspaper is still being published in New York and often has letters or notices from people in Norway who are looking for relatives.

Thanks again! I will definitely look into the sources you mention. But you should also know that your information from the census represents a breakthrough for me since you gave me the name of his wife. Searching the SSDI I have now found both Paul and Ida with Social Security card issued in Connecticut; last benefit and last residence in Tucson, Pima, Arizona. So there must be something true about their living in Connecticut. I have heard nothing from my family about going to Arizona, but may be they had a son or daughter there. Just a shame that I did not start to look for Paul & family earlier. The SSDI shows that it is only 10-20 years since they died.Eva
