I am searching for the family of Asbjorn Olsen Tuv, who lived 1620-1727 in Hadeland. He owned Tuv Farm and a business of some kind (handel?). He was a sheriff (lendsmann) over the Hadeland communities, appointed by the representative of the Danish crown. He was very tall, about 6 feet, 7 inches and only weighted about 220 lbs. He had 13 children with one wife and 14 children with another wife. In 1846 this Tuv farm was re-named Rossum when my great, great grandparents, Hakon Hansen Rossum (also known as Haagen) and Kari Hansdatter Molstad bought it. Any information anyone may have on this man would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Anne Godfrey

Hadeland bygdebok, Gran: Anders Olsen Tuv, sherif 1666-95 in Gran, was born 1620-1726. In 1671-1694 he also was sherif in Jevnaker. He must have moved from somewhere to Hadeland and Gran around 1654, because in 1714 he said he remebered when he came here 60 years ago.At first he owned Augedal (Aggedal) and was a farmer until ab. 1670 and called himself Anders Olsen Augedal. In 1670 he bought Tuv farm from Capt. Reichwein and was called Anders Olsen Tuv. 8 days before 23/6 1682 the whole farm (Tuv) burned down, and he lost everything he owned, but he build new houses and made some improvements too.
