Gjest Dick Norland

Maren Vilhelmsdatter Eikli married Ole Olson in 1762 at Norderhov. When was Maren born? Died? When was Ole born? Died? Where was Ole from? They had a son Elling Olson Eikli, Honefoss. He was baptized March 25, 1771 and married June 1795 at Nordehov a Kari Andersdatter. When was Kari born? Died? Who were her parents? What gard was she from? Mange takk for all help.

Does anyone have church book that might list Kari Andersdatter's birth, parent's names, and what gard she lived at? What is the name of the bygdabok that would provide infromation on Nordrehov and Hole areas near Honefoss?

Laila, Why did you list two dates? Did they marry on June 23rd? What happened on December 29? Vielse means wedding. Can you tell me who were the parents of Kari Andersdatter? Your message listed that Kari was from Honefoss. When was Kari born? When did she die? Mange takk for all of your help.

June 23rd is the date when they went to the church and said that they wanted to get married. Then it had to be announced in three sermons that these people wanted to get married, so that anyone who knew something against this marriage, for instance that the bride or the bridegroom was married or that they were too closely related, could tell the vicar about it. If nothing came up against the marriage, they could have the wedding. I don't know anything about Kari so far, but I will try to find out more from the churchbook. It's hard to read, so it may take a long time! The witness Gregorius Andersen could be Karen's brother:[url="http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=f10613&variabel=0&postnr=2269&fulle=true&spraak=n>Lenkeand the witness Christopher Hansen could be married to her sister:
