I see a farm 'Ulven' in the 1865 census for Gloppen (Breum sogn). But I cannot find this farm in any other census. I also cannot find it in the Oluf Rygh farm name database.I will appreciate any assistance...Helsing, Patricia

It is not a farm, it is a plads under the farm Hunskord(Hunskår)

Thank you, Rune, for clearing up my confusion. I looked it up, and find that 'plads' is a small cottage on a farm. So, now I know what it means when I see this word! I guess I should have asked before now!Helsing, Patricia

A 'plads' is not just a small cottage, it is a small area of the farm that is lent out for a small fee and usually an obligation to work for the farmer, look up 'leilending' and 'husmann'.; o} knut f
