The Aronsen slektstavle also states that he died 1791 (Haraldsrød). The burial record on Vestfold Slekt (ID3885) (register 3 page 19b 1791 Nr. 30) shows a Ola Kristoffersen who lived at Haraldsrød was buried 30 jun 1791 aged 51. Thus he could have been born as late as 1740.Is 51 the correct age in the church book?

From Lorens Berg,s bygdebok, page 437: Ola Kristofferssøn, son of Kristoffer Hanssøn, was 'godt og vel 50' (that is 'more than 50 years old', which may well be 55, 60 or more) when he died 1791. He was married 1753 with Berte Andersdatter from Vestre Rød, so he may well have been born before 1733 and most probably not after that year.Hans Iverssøn Haraldsrød baptised a son Ole on June 14. 1733. This Ole´s mother was Kari Arvesdatter from Hem, Hans Iverssøn´s second wife. Hans Iverssøn was also the father of the abovementioned Kristoffer Hanssøn, born in his first marriage to Anne Mikkelsdatter (who died 1730). Consequently Ole Hanssøn (born 1733) and Kristoffer Hanssøn are halfbrothers, but separated in age by something like 25-30 years or more.

I forgot to mention the name of Ole Kristofferssøn´s mother, wife of Kristoffer Hanssøn. Her name was Kari Torsdatter Namløs. Kristoffer died 1746, only 45 years old, and his widow Kari married Anders Halvorsen from Store Bergan. They moved to Unneberg. Anders remarried 1764, so Kari may have died around 1763. (Most of this from the same source: Lorens Berg´s bygdebok for Sandar).

HelloIn the churchbooks I have seen the usual age of confirmation is 14-18 years, sometimes older, but not younger. So early (1748) often older than 14 years. As an example, Ole Hansen Haraldsrød confirmation year is 1751, when he was 18 years.
