I’ve made a search in the 1900 census, and I’ve found Ivesdal used as a farm name in Bjerkreim, Rogaland fylke (county). Also the surname Ivesdal may be found in Rogaland in 1900, in Stavanger, Bjerkreim and Hetland, and even in Lier in Buskerud fylke, there are two persons with the name Ivesdal, born in Bjerkreim and Helleland, Rogaland (former Stavanger amt). In the 1900 census for Lier I’ve found one Anna Mathilde Heggen, born 1893 [url="http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste.aspx?ft=1900&knr=0626&kenr=005&bnr=0104&lnr=00>Lenke. When I look up the one Johannes Ivesdal, who also lives in Lier in 1900, I find that he is a widower and that he has three sons and one daughter. The youngest one, Thor Johannessen, is born in 1890 Lenke. But I’m not sure if there is any connection here. There might also be candidates among the persons living in Rogaland in 1900...In Dødfall i Norge in the Digital Archives I’ve found one Maria Ivesdal, born 1922, d. 1995, with reference to Eiker, Modum and Sigdal sorenskriverembete
