Listed as a passenger with no occupation on the SS United States arriving March 27 1908 Hilda Rigelsen, aged 30 states she is visiting Mrs Randall '?levoldson' Suspect this is Halvorsen written phonically as its a hand written manifest, well that's my interpretation of it.Mrs Radall Halvosen is recorded as being in Minneapolis, Minnisota. Help would be appeciated in identifying who she is related to in the USA & Norway.

I do NOT think Hilda Rigelson is 30 years in 1908. I think she is 50! And that they did a mistake at Ellis Island. In 1908 at Ellis Island it is stated that she has grey hair.(Few women has gray hair when they are 30 years old.) PLUS - In census 1910 I do find a 52 year old woman called Hilda Regelson in #1815 5th street in Minneapolis. She is born in Norway. Unmarried. Is a lodger. Immigrated 1888.

JanTakk for that good work. I knew a little about her already (like Christening, death, father's location in 1901) but am interested in locating the many other family members like Mrs Randall.By chance yesterday discovered that her brother Hans Christian (same name as thier father)født 1853 died at Benalla, Victoria, Australia. Lots of sailors deserted ship in Australia during the gold rushes etc so he is unlike to be on the emigrant records. His relatives here (if any) and US cousin Mrs Randall's identity are my next challenge.Kind regards Mike Wilson
