The are severals persons who had name Jacob Hansen.Myself I have family from a little farm Smedstua in Østre Aker, and the husband in 1801 Jacob Hansen was about 41 year old and his vife Marthe Nilsdatter about 37 yars old. they had two sons 1.Hans Jacobsen born 1791 2 Ole Jacobsen born 1801Marthe Nilsdatter died in 1814In Oslo byarkiv they have got a folktelling from 1834-35. Unfortunately these are not my family. Jacob was born 1805 in Aker, I believe in what is Valerenga area. Wife was Marthe Hansdatter, born 1806 in Aker. 3 Children that I know of, Marcus, Holm, and Edvard (probably, but not verified). The son Marcus born 1841 is my 3-great grand father. All born in Aker. It is Marcus I am most interested in. Hope this will help someone. I have a very old picture taken in Fargo, ND on the back says 'Uncle Marcus', but looks too young for this Marcus. Thinking he had a son named Marcus.
