Hei! Noen som vet.....Jeg har funnet to interessante poster i databasen som nevnt over. Hvordan kan jeg gå frem for å få utskrift av originaldokument el.l. og hvilke opplysninger vil det kunne gi? Gir det adresse, etterlatte/arvinger, o.l.?Databasen oppgir fornavn, etternavn, alder, dødsmåned, dato og år, Certificate number, County og Soundex.Når navn og alder passer og muligens dødstidspunkt, og i tillegg navnet ikke er altfor vanlig, er det fristende å sjekke det ut. Vet noen hvor jeg henvender meg og hva dette koster?Det gjelder altså Kings County Brooklyn, New York.Hilsen Gry

Hei Gry -Jeg har aldri hatt behov for å bestille en slik dødsattest selv, så noe mer kunnskap om det enn det jeg kan lese meg til, det har jeg ikke. Jeg 'sakser' noe info fra Ancestry. com. Der finner du en lenke til NY City Dept. of Health som gir deg ytterligere info, og hvor det også lar seg gjøre å skrive ut et bestillingsskjema. Men det forlanges en del dokumentasjon.Ang. etterlatte og arvinger, så ville vel en nekrolog være å foretrekke, men da må du vel ha hjelp til å finne den. Om navnet er svært uvanlig så kan du kanskje finne noen 'kandidater' til etterkommere ved å bruke telefonkatalogen.Mvh. In addition to providing the name of the deceased, this database also provides the date of death, person's age at the time of death, and a death certificate number. Unfortunately, this index is currently incomplete.
