Mvh Arnfrid M

Interment will be in Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home in Klemme.Thelma Edna May Kluckhohn (Larson) Haagenson, the only daughter of Fred and Naomi (Butcher) Kluckhohn, was born May 14, 1914 at home in Klemme. She was baptized and confirmed at the Klemme United Methodist Church. She attended Klemme public schools and graduated with the class of 1932.Thelma was an active member of the Camp Fire Girls, Blue Birds, and the Rainbow of the Rebekah Lodge. One could always find Thelma working at the GW Kluckhohn & Sons Store in Klemme. On June 20, 1935, the Rev. William Zabilka united Thelma E. Kluckhohn and Carold E. L. Larson, of Forest City, in marriage. For one year the young couple lived near Lake Mills, farming with Carold's father. In 1936, the Larson family relocated to Klemme due to the purchase of the Ludeke farm just west of Klemme on Highway 65. Within the same year, Carold and Thelma built, on the site of an old sorghum mill, the Larson Standard Service Station.During the time they spent managing the service station, Thelma gave birth to two sons, Robert D. Larson and Craig E. Larson. Two years later on July 27, 1968, Carold died. After the loss of her husband, Thelma continued to live on the Larson farm. She was an active member of the Klemme United Methodist Church by volunteering in the choir and sharing her beautiful voice, as she would sing solos at special events. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School classes.Thelma enjoyed the company of other people and enjoyed the peacefulness in fishing. She loved cheering her sons on during their baseball and basketball games.Thelma met Richard D. Haagenson of Leland. On Feb. 14, 1976, they were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in Klemme by Pastor Milo Lee, of Klemme and the Rev. George Brighton, of Lake View, a classmate of Richard. During this time of commitment, Fred Kluckhohn, 88, walked Thelma down the aisle. Richard was employed at the Forest City Co-op Oil Company at the Leland Station. In July of 1976, Richard and Thelma moved near Williams to help Thelma's son to manage the DX HaLa Service Station and convenience store on the Boon Docks corner off of I-35. In 1980 they moved into the town of Williams where Thelma was a custodian in the offices of Grow Mark Plan and later on Richard would join her.For the next 11 years, Thelma's father would live with them after the death of his wife, Naomi. On June 26, 1993, they resided at the farm west of Klemme in their mobile home.Thelma died Sunday (Nov. 5, 2000) at the Concord Care Center in Garner.Thelma had a great love and devotion towards her family leaving Robert Larson and Jean Weber, of Klemme, Craig Larson and daughter-in-law, Sharon, of Klemme; grandchildren, Kay (Larson) and husband, Roger Hanson, Scott Larson and his wife, Jill, of Garner, Michael Larson, of Dickinson, N.D., Michele Fiest and her husband, David, of Velva, N.D.; eight great-grandchildren, Danielle, Megan and Mathew Hanson, of Klemme, Morgan and Holden Larson, of Garner, and Danielle, Brittany and Kaitlin Fiest, of North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carold on July 27, 1968; her second husband, Richard, on June 8, 2000; great-grandson David; and an aunt in Michigan; and many cousins.Tenold Funeral Home, (641) 587-2510. - Hanne Line -

Jeg gir meg ende over, helt utrolig, Hanne Line. Igjen tusen takk.Mvh Arnfrid M
