Looking for information on Knud Nielsen and Dønaat Aadsdatter who lived on the Vinsland farm in Voss in 1832. Their daughter, Gudve Knudsdatter Vinsland was b. 19 Oct 1817 and confirmed in 1832. She married Styrk Olsen Have b. 6 Feb 1815 in Voss and they came to Wisconsin in 1845. Looking for siblings of Gudve who remained in Norway. Thank you kindly for any information.

The youngest child in the Vinsand family, Knut Knutson aka Knut Winsand, lived as a general merchant and bear brewer at Vestereide in Olen Co., Norway where he died Apr. 21, 1911. He was married twice; his first wife was Martha Olsdotter from Urness in Luster Co., Norway, but both of their children emigrated to the US. However, he also had a child by his 2nd wife Anna Jacobsdotter from Lien in Olen Co., Norway, who apparently stayed in Norway.Maybe another lister with local knowledge in Olen (ØLEN) can be of further assistance here?Cordially yours,Lars E.
