I believe this man, born 1790, mother Berthe-Maria Jacobsdatter, father unknown at this time, emigrated to Wisconsin, USA in 1855 and is found on the 1860 census for Iowa County, Wisconsin with a son, Nels Paulson, born 1840. Is anyone else researching this family? I can't get any further as the next census is 1860 and that is too late.Marilyn Hamill

Hallo,From a legal division of inheritance (Numedal og Sandsvær I 2B page 611) 12/12 1819 after Berte Maria Jacobsd. Poterud, Brønstadeie I have the following information: She died in december 1817. Widower was Christopher Anundsen. They had one son,Anund Christophersen.24 1/2 years old. She was first married to Paul Larsen. 1. son Paul Paulsen, lives in Waale sogn in Jarlsberg grevskap (now Vestfold).2. son Jacob Paulsen Aaslandsplads, 3. daughter Berte Paulsd. married to Peder Nielsen Skinnes, 4. daughter Karen Paulsen, 32 years , not married, at home.Paul Paulsen is baptized 20/9 1789, 6 months after his fathers death in March 1789.Best regards Arnt
