[#51396] Stjørdal, Stordalen, Nedre Stjørdalen

I am trying to find information on the above parish in Digitized Parish Records for the time before 1845. I am presuming that the records are not digitised or if so, under what name I have found that the census records are for place #1714 and the Kirkeboker is for 709. Short answer - you may have to wait some months.As I understand it, north and south Trondelag records might be delayed due to the archive offices in Trondheim having moved recently. All records are scheduled for completion end 2007, but again, perhaps a delay with these.It sounds like you seek a specific locale/s within 'Stjørdal, Stordalen, Nedre Stjørdalen' in which case one or the other might appear in the list as its own entry. That might help, but it appears nothing applicable pre-1845.There is a separate forum for questions on the digitalized records - I imagine a better answer to your question, incl., possibly, just what records remain to be processed, should be available.Good luck. Stordalen is Øvre Stjørdal/Meråker.

Astrid points out an excellent example. Last I checked there is nothing for Meråker pre-1845, but it is a location that can fall under different rubrics, depending on timeframe.Thanks, Astrid, for that helpful example. David, if you do know a specific area, let's say Hegra or Værnes just to name a few, and also this Øvre Stjørdal, those bear checking every so often.Wade
