Nils Liknesund ankommer Ellis Island 25. mai 1900. Han skulle til Grookston??? Minnesota. Bror hennar Magnus vart gift med eine søstera til desse 3 karane, nemleg Anne).*********Nicolai Hendrikcson er ugift leieboer i 1920 (ikke sammen med annen familie i 1920). Han er innvandret i 1911 og befinner seg i 1920 i Minneapolis i Hennepin county i Minnesota.I census 1930 finner vi i Blue Ridge township i Williams County i Nord Dakota to ugifte brødre som bor sammen. Begge er født i Norge av norske foreldre. Det er 52 år gamle William Henrickson (innvandret 1887) og broren 36 år gamle Nicolie (innvandret i 1912). Sjå:

He is still Single and came to the USA in 1887.In 1920 a William Hendrickson is living in Fisher, Polk County, Minnesota He was born in Norway in 1878 and now has a family. In 1900 there is a William Henrickson living in Minnesota, Polk County, Fisher, District 219. He is living with his uncle Hans Faroe and Aunt Live. He is still Single and came to the USA in 1887.In 1920 a William Hendrickson is living in Fisher, Polk County, Minnesota He was born in Norway in 1878 and now has a family. This is the same William as above. He married in about 1901.Does this look like a possibility?Darin

Hi Darin,This looks like a very good possibility. I would like to know more details about these findings, and what about Census 1910?Hans Faroe (Færøy = Faeroey), born 25.9.1839, is the uncle of Wilhelm. He married Gjertrud Johanne Eliasdtr. in 1865 and went to the US in 1866.Hans had also a sister Nille, born 20.12.1846, that went to the US. Also two brothers, Johannes (b. 31.7.1841) and Jonas (b. 20.12.1847), went to the US. I will probably come back to this family later.MVH Gisle

Alderen på Nils (innlegg 5) er feil, jeg har sjekket originaldokumentet i US census og det viser 29 år, og det stemmer med de opplysningene vi har om ham. Ankomst USA er korrekt angitt som år 1900.

I looked at the 1920 census again for Minnesota, Polk Co., Fisher and it was William Henderson who was married with children NOT William Hendrikson.Gisela, if you'd like I could send you the 1900 census for Fisher.
