Gulbrand Gulbrandsen, 39 år, hustru Astri Andersdtr., 43 år og 3 barn fikk utv. attest 3.5.1850 fra Thomleeiet i Nordre Land. De har reist og kommet fram til Amerika,. Hadelandslagets nestleder og webmaster Anne Sladky, ber om hjelp til å finne ut hvilken båt de reiste med. Mvh. Ole. Her er hennes spørsmål: Gulbrand Gulbrandsen Thomleie and his wife & 3 children signed out of Nordre Land May 3, 1850 and came to America, but there is no record of what ship they left on or got to America on. The only thing I know is that it is said in the family that it was a horrible crossing because they ran out of water many days before reaching port. Since the debateforum found me the answer to what ship my 1846 family left on, I am hoping that maybe someone will know about this one, too. None of the ships that are on norwayheritage.com or other websites seem to be the right ones, and the new book from Blaine Hedberg doesn’t give a ship name, either. So I am hoping maybe a posting on debateforum will get me started to see if I can find the whole story of this crossing.
