Han gifta seg 14.05.1906 i Vinne krk. i Verdal m. Oline Birgitte Olausdtr. Graven f. 08.11.1879 i Vinne,-hun hadde mange søsken. Hun utv. 06.03.1907. John hadde også flere halvsøsken her.
