Elizabeth (Betty) LeGros, 89, died Dec. 7, 1983.She was born June 1, 1894 on Orcas Island, and was raised in Bellingham. She was married to Oscar LeGros in 1915. They owned and operated LeGros Broadway Floral. Mrs. LeGros retired in 1962. She was a charter and life member and past president of Soropimist International of Everett, and past president and long-time member of E. L. K. She was a member of Thelma Lodge, Daughters of Norway, Columbia Chapter No 33, O.E. S., Business and Professional Womens Club and a member of Allied Florists of Snohomish County and Florists Transworld Delivery Association. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952.She leaves sons, Jack of Everett and Theodore of Seattle; three granddaughters, Jackie Adams of Goldendale, Wash., Patricia LeGros of Edmonds and Debra Bly of Newman Lake, Wash.; and three great-grandchildren.Private family services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at Challacombe, Fickel and Precht, with the Rev. Jean Baumgarten LeGrosJean Baumgarten LeGROS Born December 8, 1926 in Sprague, WA. Died July 28, 2009 in Seattle, WA. Jean was a graduate of Ephrata, WA high school and Washington State University. She was a journalist and in corporate communications in Centralia, WA, Minneapolis and Seattle. She was a member of the Seattle Professional Chapter of Women in Communications Inc. (Theta Sigma Phi) and received its Georgina Davis Founders' Award in 1985. She was president of the Women's University Club of Seattle in 1973. Member of WSU Alumni Association, Kappa Delta and the Rainier Club. Jean was preceded in death by husband, Theodore A. LeGros, Seattle admiralty attorney. She is survived by nieces by marriage, Jacquelyn Adams of Chandler, AZ, Patricia LeGros of Edmonds, WA, Debra Bly (Dan) of Gilbert, AZ, and their families, and several of Jean's cousins. Thank you to Exeter House of Seattle for their July 31st Celebration of Life service honoring Jean and other Exeter residents.
