Svend Guttormsen was married to Berthe Andersdtr 24/11/1794 at Landvik K. in Aust-Agder [url="http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20070601350421.jpg>LenkeHe is noted in the marriage record to be from 'Valle i Undal'. Apparently Valle sogn in Vest-Agder. I have had no luck finding him there. Svend is noted as 42 years old in the 1801 census in Landvik.One possibility is a Sven Guttormsen - with parents Guttorm Knudsen and Gunvor Reiersdatter Ødegaarden born in 1862 in Laudal, Vest-Agder

Robert R;I have gone through the pages of the Laudal bygdebook regarding Øygard (Ødegaarden).There are no mention of the persons you have listed above. There are Øygard / Ødegaarden farms in Bjelland parish also, but I dont't have this bygdebook at hand.I'll try to look up other Svend Guttormsen at nearby parishes / churchbooks on the net.Regards, Knut Inge.

Happy New Year, Robert! Checking my files, I find no other Svend Guttormsen from the Valle district than the one you have already mentioned. In my lists he originates from the Aagset farm in Laudal, mentioned there as born in 1762, with siblings: Aase 1752, Reier 1764 (to Lindland Laudal), Randi 1769 and Anne 1771. His wife in Landvik is Berthe Andersdtr from Gusdal. Their child Ragnhild born 1795 was married to Gunder Olsen in Flaa, Birkenes 1790-1876.

Hi Robert Here you can see Sven was christened in Konsmo church, but I have found it in the churchbook of Laudal. Hi Robert. To answer you question: no. But as you mention already, 'Valle i Undal' is noted the Landvik churchbook. I find no other Sve* Guttormsen in either Aust- or Vest-Agder who fits in by age, including the given names Sven,Svenning,Svein,Sveinung etc.
