I am looking for any information on Andrew Nelson, born 1872 in Norway. who was my great grandfather, married Marit Odegaard in the US. Thanks for any help you can give.

There were quite a few Anders Nilsen in Norway, if he was Anders Tobias in Norway, that would help a little, but it would help if you added more info. In Nordmændene i Amerika by Martin Ulvestad there are listed 11 Andrew Nelson's.Where did he live after emigrating?

He married my great grandmother i think in North Dakota and lived there until 1907 when he died in an accident. I found him on the 1900 ND census and it looks like his birth month is march. His first child was born in 1893, so he had to emmigrate before then. There is no 1890 ND census that i can find. so I am at a standstill until

My parents grew up in Fargo!Do you know he was Anders Tobias (that second name is very helpful)? Is there any obituary? Do you know any of his brothers or sisters names? Any uncles or aunts? It looks like he emigrated in 1891 from 1900 census. When you answer, put your question on the brukerforumet and you will find a lot of people who might help, but first try to find a little more.
