Johannes Arnesen(Kleppe,Sund,Hordaland) ekteskapsløyve 1757

I need help for a special source: Johannes Arnesen married twice, the second time with Christie Olsdatter. It seams something was special because I understand they need a "ekteskapsløyve" from Bergen the 29/7/1757 (the picture joined) or the link ekteskapsløyve

Is someone able to read(and translate !) this document for me ? What is the meaning of this document ?

The document states Johannes and Christi were first-cousins, and that meant they needed a special permit before they could enter into marriage.

Is it something about parents? I see nothing.

An other question: What about the marriage itself. Is this document a "copulere", or they need to married later in Sund?

They needed permit, because their parents were related. I don’t know Christi’s mothers name, but her father was Ole Nilsen Høyland, and he is probably brother to Johannes’s mother Dorthe Nilsdatter. Johannes and Christi were cousins.

 

We don’t have Johannes and Christi’s marriage, but they probably got married in near time after their permit was given.

 

Johannes was first married to Lisbeth Olsdatter (Olsdaughter), but I don’t’ know the name of her parents.

Johannes Arnesen Kleppe parents was Dorthe Nilsdatter and Arne Christoffersen Berge (Sund). Second time she was married to Rasmus Johnsen Trellevik (Sund). Third time til Ole Nilsen Skei (Os).

How do you know Dorthe was the mother of Johannes and Ole the father of Christi ?

In the digitised probate records (link) you will find Johannes father Arne Christoffersen Kleppe on the right side. The widow Dorthe Nilsdatter and their son Johannes 3 years old.

Here is Ole Nilsen Høyland, this is difficult to read, but you will see Christi Olsdatter 9 years old. And this is probably the same Christi that married Johannes, and her father is probably Dorthe Nilsdatter brother. We still don't know the name of Ole Nilsen wife, so she could be either sister to Dorthe or Arne, but I think Ole is Dorthe's brother, but we can't be sure.

The other branch of the family depends on Lars Amundsen(I found a skifteprotokoll for him in Kleppsvigen, very hard to read).

This Lars had a brother Knud Amundsen in Hommelsund, some others parents in Selle(Saelle), 4km in the west of Kleppe. I am not able to found a skifteprotokoll about this farms, maybe you have an idea ?

Some farms in Sund is Lysekloster-farms and you will find them under Hardanger and Voss.

Førde, Høyland, Kleppe, Klepsvik and Forland are all Lysekloster-farms. First you need to find the farm and their name in the register (link) and if they are in the register, you will find them under Hardanger and Voss (the other link).
