Skreddarmeister Jens Olsen Winjum (Bergen 1827) og Johanna Westly (Trondheim 1825) og lagnaden deira?

Lars E. Øyane

Dette tema tek utgangspunkt i tema #58925 frå det gamle Brukarforum (http://da2.uib.no/cgi-win/WebDebatt.exe?slag=listinnlegg&debatt=brukar&temanr=58925&sok=Westly+%D8yane&nr=1&antinnlegg=11&startnr=&antall=&spraak=n#anker) der eg søker etter opplysningar om lagnaden til denne huslyden:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jens Erikson Olsen Winjum, fødd i Bergen 3.3.1827, gifte seg i Trondheim 30.7.1857 med Johanna Rebecca Henriksdotter Westly, f. i Trondheim 7.11.1825. Jens var skreddarmeister, og parfolket budde:
* Trondheim, Nordre Gate då GERHARD EMIL var fødd i Domkyrkja i Trondheim 7.10.1859.
* Kristiansund då HENRIETTE WILHELMINE KØNIG var fødd i Kristiansund 23.4.1863.
* Eivindvik eller Bergen 2-14 då JOHANNA JØRGINE var fødd i Bergen 24.7.1865.
Eg har ikkje lukkast i å finna denne huslyden i FT1865, og det er eit stort mysterium kvar dei kan ha gjort av seg!?
Eg takkar so mykje på førehand for alle gode tips!
Med venleg helsing,
Lars E. Øyane
Hjarteleg takk til Rune og ikkje minst til Lars J. for kjempemessige innlegg! Emigranten frå 1866 frå Aurland er ikkje "vår" mann, men Jens og Johanna må ha utvandra om lag på same tid!
Eg finn Johanna Winjum i Sturgeon Bay, Door Co., WI ogso i 1880 som Anna Wingham, enkje (http://search.ancestry.com/iexec?htx=View&r=an&dbid=6742&iid=4244709-00250&fn=Anna&ln=Wingham&st=r&ssrc=&pid=28350732) med borni Amil, Yetta og Jence. Eg kan òg følgja Yetta Armstrong i seinare folketeljingar. Dette er heilt fantastisk, Lars! Takk igjen!
Jens Winjum døydde med andre ord mellom 1870 og 1880, medan Johanna "Anna" ser ut til å vera avlidi mellom 1900 og 1910! Neste stasjon vert Sturgeon Bay, WI!
Når det gjeld borni, so må Johanna (1865) vera avlidi før 1870, medan Margaret (fødd 1857 Trondheim?) døydde etter 1870, men før 1900. To andre born skal vera fødde i Noreg, men dei ser me førebels ikkje noko meir til...
Med venleg helsing,
Death of a Boy by Drowning
Willie Schuyler, aged about 16 years, son of Fred I. Schuyler, of thetown of Sevastopol, was drowned in this bay last Sunday afternoon. Hewas standing, in company with several smaller boys, including hisyounger brother, upon the wharf behind Hagemeister's ice house, justsouth of the grist mill. Willie proposed to the boys to go inswimming, but as none of them felt inclined to do so, he removed hisclothing and went in alone. He was walking about in the shallow waterbut a moment when he suddenly went down, having stepped out to wherethe bank is very abrupt and the water is about twelve feet deep, andthe little lads who saw him go down say he did not come to the surfaceagain as is invariably the case with drowning persons. Some of theboys who witnessed the sad affair immediately gave the alarm, whilethe others remained to watch for the body. Soon a large crowd hadcongregated at the place. Three young men, Henry Johnson, a sailorfrom the schooner Conquest, James Mann, Jr., and Emil Winjum hurriedlydivested themselves of part of their clothing, got into a row-boat,and after the three had made several unsuccessful dives to the bottom,Johnson finally brought the inanimate body to the surface after whichit was quickly taken on shore. All efforts that were made toresuscitate the drowned boy proved unavailing, notwithstanding he hadbeen in the water only about fifteen minutes.
Willie was quite deaf and could not talk plainly, having scarletfever, which left him in that condition. He is said to have been akind-hearted lad and a good boy to work, and his sudden death is to beregretted.
No vart eg skikkeleg mållaus, Ann-Mary! Hjarteleg takk til deg for kjempefine opplysningar om denne huslyden! Særleg vart eg imponert over dødsdatoane for Jens og Johanna frå gravstøttene deira!
Alt gjennom ymse folketeljingar hadde eg slege fast at Johanna skrønte godt på alderen sin - gjorde seg om lag 10 år yngre enn ho var. Men sanningi kom fram, og hovudparten av dette problemet er med eitt løyst!
Med venleg helsing,
Lars E. Øyane
