Birth of Even Jorgensen, ?1724, Rakkestad

There is an Even Jorgensen who married Guri Syversdatter in Rakkestad 3 Nov 1750, (see http://www.arkivverk...ny&idx_side=-97). There is an Even Jorgensen christened in Rakkestad 27 Feb 1724, (see http://www.arkivverk...=ny&idx_side=-7). Does anyone know if the Even who married in 1750 is the same Even who was christened in 1724? I cannot see anything in the parish register that would prove they are the same person, although they very well may be. If someone who can read this record better than I can determine there is a connection based in the parish register entries, I would appreciate knowing.

I don't think the parish records provide any proof unfortunately. The wedding record says that he is a soldier. His father was Jørgen Grydeland which is the name of a farm in Rakkestad.

 

This is probably Guri a widow in 1801http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/WebCens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=23&filnamn=f1801&gardpostnr=1362&personpostnr=15699&merk=15699#ovre with her son Syver Evensen. Familysearch has the couple having children first in Rakkestad and later in Tune. Even died aged 67, http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7494&idx_id=7494&uid=ny&idx_side=-116he was buried 20 January 1789 in Tune. It puts him in the right age range but does not provide you with the absolute proof you need.

 

You might need to ask someone if they can look up in a bygdebook for the area to see what information there is for that farm.
