Lars Iverson (Øiene), born in Luster 1832 - his family in and from Skjåk?

I have received an inquiry about this family from Linda Iverson in Minnesota. She is a descendant of Lars Iverson and has been researching this family for many years. Now I have found this:

 

Lars Iverson was born at the Øiene farm in Luster Co., Norway Mar. 17, 1832 (http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=11592&idx_id=11592&uid=ny&idx_side=-8). His parents were Iver Olson and Gunnhild Larsdotter.

 

Thoroe Iversdotter was born at the Quale farm in Skjaak parish, Lom Co., Norway Nov. 2, 1828 (http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=9245&idx_id=9245&uid=ny&idx_side=-47). Her parents were the same Iver Olson and Gunnhild Larsdotter.

 

Then I find the marriage of Iver Olson of Hjelter, aged 29, father Ole Olson and Gunnhild Larsdotter of Waagesar, aged 20, father Lars Erlandson, married in Skjaak parish, Lom Co., Norway on Oct. 17, 1828 (http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=9245&idx_id=9245&uid=ny&idx_side=-215).

 

Is there someone with local knowledge in Skjaak who can help Linda find out about her relatives?

 

* Did Iver and Gunnhild have more children?

 

* What became of Iver and Gunnhild and of their children?

 

* How about siblings of Iver and Gunnhild?

Linda Iverson is a descendant of Lars Iversen. Then you ask what became of the children of Iver and Gunhild. Since Lars is Linda's forefather, I guess he married and had children. Did he emigrate to the US?

Can this be the marriage record for Lars Iversen in 1879?? The groom's father is Iver Olsen Hjelter and the groom is born in Luster 1832. The bride's name is Thorø Amundsdatter Bræk, born 1860:

Here is an Iver, baptized 1799 in Lom, son of Ole Olsen and Magnild Toresdatter:

I'm far from sure if this is the right Iver, and if he is, then he is an illegitimate child. One of the witnesses comes from Hielter. It might be the same Iver that is found in the 1801 census for Lom, age 2, but here his parents are registered as Ole Nielsen and Margrethe Toresdatter. So again I'm not sure if this is the right Iver:

Iver was the illegitimate son of Ole Olsen Prestjordet (born 1773, and working as a tailor in 1801, living with his mother - unmarried);

Iver's mother, Magnhild Toresdotter (born 1774 on the farm Hjeltar) married Ole Nilsson Forberg (born Rudsar) May 8, 1800;

Magnhild and Ole Nilsson later moved to the farm Vangsbakken and got at least 5 children, with a lot of descendants in Skjåk.

 

Gunhild Larsdotter's father Lars was born at the farm Øverli in Lom, as son of Erland Øverli, born as Erland Alsmo from Jostedalen. Her mother Marit Olsdotter was born at the farm Bakken in Lom.

Gunhild's sister Rønnaug was the great grandmother of Ernest Orlando Lawrence, who got the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1939. Gunhild's brother Lars also has lots of descendants in Skjåk.
