kan noen hjelpe meg med å finne Job Dahl f 1884 Mosvika Far heter Hans Dahl.Utreiste 21.3,1906 til Hillsboro Nord Dakota.Neste gang reiste han ut 9,7,1914 og til Fargo, Nord Dakota. Har han familie der borte ? Finnes det nå etterkommere ?? Kan noen hjelpe meg her ? mvh frode

Jeg finner en Job H Dahl i Caledonia, Traill, North Dakota i 1930 folketellingen. Det sies han invandret i 1906. Han er gift med Ragna L f 1891 i Minnesota og de har 2 barn. Earnest Harold født 5 May 1925 i Minnesota og døde 8 Jan 2004 i MInnesota. Det er en obituary etter han, men det må betales for å se den.

Dahl Funeral Rites To Be On Tuesday

Funeral services for Job H. Dahl. 53, of Cummings, who died Friday in Cummings will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at North Buffalo church near Kragnes with Rev. O. B. Runsvold officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anton Gandland, Shelly; Carl Külz, Cummlngs; Pete Skjara, Hillsboro, N. D.; Henry Olson, Felton; Gustav Grinvold, Hillsboro, Hans Skorstad, Georgetown. Mr. Dahl is survived by two sons, Ernest H. and John R., both at Cummings, and three brothers and four sisters in Norway. He was born in Norway, December 13, 1884. Before making his home in Cummings he had farmed in the Kragnes vicinity.

Ernest H. Dahl, age 78, of rural Felton, MN, died on Thursday, January 8, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital, South University, in Fargo, ND.

 

Ernest Harold Dahl, the son of Job and Ragna (Nelson) Dahl, was born in Fargo, ND, on May 5, 1925. He grew up and received his education in the rural Felton, MN, area. He graduated from Moorhead (MN) High School in 1943.

Ernest served in the US Army Air Corps, from 1943 to 1945. After his discharge he attended North Dakota Agricultural College (now known at North Dakota State University) in Fargo.

 

On August 3, 1948, Ernest was united in marriage to Marlys Pake at Estes Park, Colorado. They made their home in rural Felton. From 1951 to 1952, Ernest served his country a second time by serving in the US Air Force.

 

After his discharge, he returned to the family farm, where Ernest and Marlys farmed until they retired in 1979. After retirement, they continued to live on the farm. Ernest was a member of the Morken Township Board for many years. He was a member of the board of Minnesota State Farm Bureau and served as president of the Clay Co. Farm Bureau. He also sang in the FM Ambassador Chorus.

 

He is survived by his wife, Marlys, two sons, Duane, and Larry (Amber) Dahl; four daughters, Susan (Mike) Burk, Deborah (Lyle) Zeller, Janet Hensrud, and Karen Harmonson; a brother, John (Eva) Dahl; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and a granddaughter, Robin Dahl.

Marlys Dahl, age 78, of rural Felton, MN, died on Friday, November 25, 2005, at MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, South University, in Fargo, ND.

Marlys Elda Dahl, the daughter of H. C. (Neal) and Freida (Johnson) Pake, was born in Moorhead, MN, on July 3, 1927. She grew up in the Moorhead area. She graduated from Moorhead (MN) High School in 1946.

Marlys attended Fargo Business College after graduation. She worked at Standard Oil Company in Fargo until her marriage.

On August 3, 1948, Marlys was united in marriage to Ernest Dahl at Estes Park, CO. They made their home in rural Felton.

Marlys was an active member at North Buffalo Lutheran Church, serving as Sunday School superintendent and choir director for several years. She also served as a Confirmation leader for over 20 years. She sang with the Fargo-Moorhead Sweet Adelines for 35 years.

Marlys is survived by two sons, Duane, Lakewood, CO, and Larry (Amber) Dahl, rural Felton; four daughters, Susan (Mike) Burk, Loveland, CO, Deborah (Lyle) Zeller, Wasilla, AK, Janet Hersrud, Moorhead and Karen Harmonson, rural Felton; a brother Donald (Joan) Pake, rural Felton; three sisters, Betty Nelson, Moorhead, Mary Wright, Beaumont, TX, and Joanne Sipe, Moorhead; eleven grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren. Marlys was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, her parents, and a granddaughter, Robin Dahl.

Visitation: Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005; 4 – 8 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral: Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at 10:30 AM, in North Buffalo Lutheran Church, rural Kragnes.

Interment: North Buffalo Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kragnes.

Janet Hersrud, 51, West Fargo, ND, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at MeritCare Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.

Janet Elizabeth Dahl, the daughter of Ernest and Marlys Dahl, was born in Moorhead, MN, on October 31, 1956. She grew up in rural Felton, MN. Janet attended Oak Grove Lutheran High School in Fargo, where she graduated in 1974. She also attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston, MN.

In 1980, Janet married Dwight Hersrud. They made their home in Moorhead. Janet later moved to West Fargo.

Janet was a life-long member of North Buffalo Lutheran Church, rural Kragnes, MN. She was currently the church secretary and served as the choir director.

In 1976, she joined the Fargo-Moorhead Chapter of Sweet Adelines, Int’l. She was currently a member of the City of Lakes Chapter in Minneapolis. She was a “Sweet Adeline” for 32 years.

In 1997, Janet joined the staff of Oak Grove Lutheran School. She currently served as an administrative assistant for advancement.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Nicole Hersrud, and Shelly Hersrud, both West Fargo; one grandchild, who is on the way; three sisters, Susan (Mike) Burk, Lakewood, CO, Debby (Lyle) Zeller, Houston, Alaska, and Karen Harmonson, Moorhead; and two brothe

Visitation: Tuesday, from 4 PM until 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

 

Funeral service: Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at 10:30 AM in North Buffalo Lutheran Church, rural Kragnes, MN.
