Dette er ei «gamal» utfordring som eg har hatt liggjande i aldri so mange år, men som kanskje no kan finna ei løysing?

 

Anna Hansdotter Lingjerde, dotter av haugianarpredikant og gardbrkar Hans Pederson Lingjerde på Åndalsslåtten i Vardal (1819-1913), var fødd i Vardal 29.9.1864 og utvandra til Amerika i 1883.

 

Alt me veit om Anna er at ho vart gift med ein «Mr.» Clark og at ho arbeidde som «slumsøster» mellom dei fattige i Chicago, IL.  MEN, eg har førebels ikkje greidd nå fnna ut noko som helst om lagnaden hennar der borte og vonar at kanskje nokon kan hjelpa meg med gode tips?

På Familysearch fant jeg ei Annie Lingard født 1864 i Norge gift 21.10.1912 i Delaware , Pennsylvania. med Fredrick T. Clarke født 1844

Odd Fellows Cemetery (Philadelphia)

Odd Fellows Cemetery was a cemetery at 24th and Diamond Streets in Philadelphia, established in 1849 and destroyed in the 1950s.^[1]

The gatehouse was designed by architect Stephen Decatur Button.

It included the grave of author George Lippard^[1] and Charles Kochersperger, who commanded a Union Army regiment in the Civil War Battle of the Wilderness.

In 1950, the cemetery property was acquired by the Philadelphia Housing Authority for construction of a housing project. The bodies interred there were moved to two other cemeteries owned by the Odd Fellows: Mount Peace Cemetery in Philadelphia and Lawnview Memorial Park in Rockledge, Pennsylvania.^[1] The Lippard grave was moved to Lawnview in 1951.^[2]

So var det altso ikkje i Chicago, IL at Anna hadde sitt «hovudvirke» likevel, med mindre ho vart «rekruttert» derifrå?

 

I 1910 ser eg at ho var «housekeeper» og budde på Manhattan, NY, men det hadde vore interessant å sjå kvar ho var i 1900...?

 

Det viktigaste er nok likevel å finna ut dato og stad for dødsfallet hennar, men dette vert kan henda svært so vanskeleg...?

Har ikke funnet dødsfallet til Anna Lingjerdet / Annie Lingard gift Clark.

 

Finner henne heller ikke etter Census 1920 ,da hun bodde sammen med ektemannen Frederick T Clark i Philadelphia.
