På Ancestry finner jeg en Peter Olaf som har emigrert til USA i 1907/9 og lever til 1948 i Los Angeles. Men er det samme mann?

STRANDE, ANDREW ARTHUR, JR. (Age 90)

Of Charlotte, NC, died Thursday, January 10, 2002 at his home. The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2002 in the Chapel at Calvary Church with the Rev. Buddy Strickland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will be held at a later date at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX.

Mr. Strande was born November 15, 1911 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Andrew A. Strande, Sr. and Marie (Lokke) Strande. He served his country in the US Army during WWII, being stationed in Paris, France. Mr. Strande then worked for the federal government for 31 years in the Department of Defense as a computer systems anaylst. He was a member of Calvary Church in Charlotte.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine and his son, Philip. Andrew is survived by his wife, Alva of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kathie Strande of Charlotte, NC; and step-daughter, Judy Smith and her husband, Ronald of Beavercreek, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th St, Charlotte, NC 28204. Arrangements by McEWEN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, Pineville Chapel, Charlotte, NC. (704)544-1412.

Tusen takk, noen ganger er det godt å ha noen nye øyne som ser på det samme. Det var en uventet vri at Ingeborg  reiste til USA.  Noe har skjedd med familien før/etter at far Johannes døde i 1882. Johannes har vært på Waisenhuset (fattighuset) i Trondheim før han dør i 1882. Og det var også sønnen: Hilmar Severin

United States Census, 1940, hadde jeg ikke.Så takk. Men rart at han er "lodger" i 1940.

Dødsfallet er sannsynlig riktig, da moren heter Ingeborg (longerbord) og som du sier, fødselsdato stemmer.

 

Jeg brukte adressebøkene for Trondheim fra 1894, 1899 og 1904. Og mistet tråden der, fordi det var en Peter Løkke og Petter A i 1904. De bodde på Baklandet på samme adresse.  Begge var skomakere. Vet ikke om en av dem er min Peter Olaf.
