Ole Jansen - # 40 - passed away 25 Aug 1884 and was buried from Sagene church, Oslo on 29 Aug same year. Address at death was Maridalsveien 147, Oslo

His widow and 4 grown up children stayed at same address at census 1885, named Johnsen though: https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ft/person/pf01053257136376

The original census indicates that Jahnsen might have been misinterpreted into Johnsen

Out of curiosity, would you tell me what the translation is for the note written on Johan's birth? I noticed there is a date there (19 Nov 1846) and wonder if it is significant in any way.

The note at Johan's birth says that his birth was reported by Johan Pedersen Jølseneie and that this was the first child out of wedlock for both parents. I think the rest of the notation applies to the last child on the page.

The info I gave in a narrative form from the christening record of Martin in 1844 was all based on column # 6. The remarks to the far right says that Martin's birth was reported by shoemaker Andreas Frederik Olsen (Malene's landlord). Witnesses were Andreas Frederik Olsen, Iver Jacobsen, Christopher Olsen, Anne ?Torine? Christophersdtr and Anne Olsdtr
