I do appreciate all the assistance that all you members provide.

 

Being raised in Seattle Washington with no Norwegian speaking relatives, I rely on a Google Chrome translation program to assist in my hunt.

 

When you mention the "primary documents", I assume these are those written in Norwegian and do not come across clearly on my computer.

 

Your links ": http://www.genealogi.no " and " https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slekt_og_Data" will be of great help in my search.

 

I have also found the following sites, but there data is limited to only a couple individuals:  https://nbl.snl.no/Jon_Havtoresson and https://snl.no/Jon_Havtoresson.

along with a www.winnnem.com, http://www.nose.dk/Norge/schjelderup.html, http://vestraat.net/rossfjord-o/p2.htm,

 

As I said above, all the information, no matter how small, from all the members of this site is deeply appreciated.

 

Trying to build a tree that follows not only my side of the family but my wife's and my mother's site is proving difficult, but enjoyable. 

 

The sources locally are getting fewer as time go by.

 

But, help and digging will go on.

To be honest I was making certain assumptions based on what I could see online with very little Norwegian language abilities.

I would strongly urge you to find these records on the Scanned Church books

it can be time consuming but very useful in your research.

Reference above "https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-b/ft/person/pf01058429000099" can be presented in the old form.  For me, it is hard to see because of my newness to this site the follow the names.

If I want to find another name using this form, how do I do that.  In the old form, there was a space in the upper left corner to put in a name.

It has been 3 years since my last message and I have found a site that I am needing help on finding information on some of my family.

 

The site is https://www.slektogdata.no/slektsforum/viewtopic.php?t=143467.

 

I believe this site changed their format and I am totally lost.

 

Some of the family are: Lars Olsen Lillehagen, Ole II Olsen Vinjevoll, Ole I Olsen Vinjevoll, Ole I Sivertsen Vinjevoll and Elen Johanne Bonsach.

 

This new site is very confusing to me especially my lack of Norwegian is probable my bad spot.

 

I do hope someone can help.

 

I am to a spot that I want to share my family tree with both my 2 children and my 2 sisters.

 

I would be willing to share it with anyone who thinks they may be able to expand and/or correct the tree.
