Palmer Freund passed away from this life to his eternal home on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Palmer was born April 30, 1920 at Westby, Montana where he lived until entering the service in 1941, serving in the army engineers for five years. In July, 1949 he moved to Fremont, Nebraska where he married Helen Andresen and they resided in Fremont until August, 1973 when they moved to Arizona. During his years in Fremont he worked as a plumber and was the owner of Fremont Engineering Company. When he came to Arizona he started Palmer¹s Plumbing Service and continued until in 1998 when illness forced his retirement. He also built and owned Palmer Plaza and Youngtown Mini Storage.Palmer is survived by his wife, Helen; his son, Robert (Debbie) Freund and his daughter, Marilyn (Douglas) Gleckler; his grandchildren: Cassi and Carly, Megan, Morgan and Derek; his brother, Norman (Esther) Freund; his sisters: Ruby Larsen and Jeanette (Harold) Hanen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Freund; and his sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Roy Andersen.Celebration of Life service will be held at American Lutheran Church of Sun City on Friday, April 27, 2007 with visitation at 9:30 A.M. with funeral service at 10:30 A.M.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Stephen Ministry of American Lutheran Church, 17200 Del Webb Boulevard in Sun City, Arizona 85373 or to the Word Alone Institute of Theology, 2299 Palmer Drive, New Brighton, Minnesota 55112. Arrangements entrusted to Sunland Memorial Park, 623-933-0161.

Thelma A Andresen Tellefson

Birth:  Oct. 7, 1919 Death:  Aug. 31, 2012 Thelma Tellefson, 92, of Robinson, KS died Friday evening, August 31, 2012 at Hiawatha Community Hospital after being admitted earlier in the week.  She was born October 7, 1919 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of A.J. "Julius" and Sigrid Andresen. She grew up on the family truck-farm (fruits and vegetables), graduated from Benson High School, and attended Dana College, receiving a teaching certificate. She taught school in Omaha for a few years before taking the train out to California with a college friend and teaching in Artesia, CA. for a while.  On August 30, 1946, she married Theodore "Ted" Tellefson and moved to the Robinson, KS community, where she raised a family and helped with the family farming operation. She was an active member of several organizations and was an involved parent in organizations her children belonged to.  Thelma and Ted raised 3 children, all of whom survive her. John Raymond (Ann) Tellefson of Salina, KS, Carol Tellefson of Robinson, KS, and Susan Tellefson of Macomb, IL. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Kristina Tellefson of Salina, KS, a sister, Helen Freund of Sun City, AZ, three sisters-in-law, Esther Fredrikson of Fargo, ND, Lillian Ward of Corpus Christi, TX, and Mary Tellefson of Easton, KS, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Andrew J. "Jule""Andy" Andresen.  Funeral services are planned for 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, KS, with interment to follow at the Upper Wolf Lutheran Church Cemetary southeast of Robinson.
