Thomas Andersen f. 16/3 1823 Ringsaker g. 11/7 1845 m. Johanne Pedersdtr. f. 8/10 1821 Furnes.  De var i Ringsaker i 1875. Etter det er alle spor borte. Ikke meldt utvandret, men jeg vil tro at den muligheten er stor!

Jeg forstår ikke at de kan finnes i Ringsaker ved FT 1875 - de utvandret i 1867 - legger ved FT 1865, hvor Thomas var gårdbruker og selveier på Jemli.

 

Brukte navnet Hjemli/Hjemle ved ankomst og tok etternavnet Thompson i USA. De etablerte seg etterhvert i Iowa.

This passenger is Tomas Anderson Hjemeli,approximately 46 years old, from Veldre in Hedmark Fylke. His wife's name is Johanne Pedersdtr and she is approximately 47 at the time of their emigration. They initially settled in the area of LaCrosse, WI, and later moved to Iowa around 1870 and 1871.

The information comes both from a copy of the ship record and the research done by Mr. Orvis Fitts of Overland Park, KS, who is a grandson of one of the daughters, who came with her parents. 

More detailed research has been done by the Norwegian-American Genealogical Center & Naeseth Library in Madison, WI.
