Hans Kristian Hansen Auren - Sannidal 1867

I'm back at the search once again, and would really appreciated some more help. The language barrier is really kicking my butt. I'm looking specifically for three things, but I would love it if anyone could share any additional information they find along the way.

1. A scanned photo of Hans' birth, indexed - born April 2nd 1867 / Sannidal - to Hans Jorgensen Braaten, and Aase Marie Thygesdatter

2. Information about when Hans' emigrated to USA - My best guess is 1888, but it's definitely before 1900. I have no records to prove when he left Norway/arrived to USA.

3. Additional information on the farm Auren in the municipality of Sannidal. - I am not aware of resources to research further.

Not able to answer Q 2, he covered his tracks well. I was able to trace his confirmation, though, in 1881. Not in the parish where he was born and where his parents continued to live, but in Lunde, also in Telemark. He must have been living there with his older half-brother Thor and his wife, and their first child who was born there.

So what was Hans Christian’s next move?

 

Do you have any idea of Hans Christian’s occupation(s)? I have been looking for him in Seamen’s rolls in Kragerø, Skien and Porsgrunn, with no luck.
