I have been trying to find out about my family history, and have so far found out I have ancestors in Norway. I have hit a brick wall and in need of some help. If anyone is able or willing to help me please let me know. I have so far managed to find my 2nd Great Grandfather: Gustav Thorvald Bredesen - Born: 1883, from Grimstad Norway. He had a wife called Konstanse Elisabeth Lervik - Born 1895 With help from the Norwegian Archives, I have found out they were people who travelled? They were labelled as "omstreifere" on Jorgen's Baptism record. They had a son called: Jorgen J Bredesen (1917–1997) 17 Jul 1917 • Grimstad, Norway Jorgen died: 9 May 1997 • Mandal, Vest-Agder, Norway Jorgen was a sailor/ seaman. Jorgen had a son with Ivy Lynch (who he married in 1943 - in Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales). They had a son called Michael John Bredesen (1943–1980), this son is my fathers father (my Grandfather). I have hit a brick wall with Gustav and his wife. I've not been able to find anymore out then what I have stated. If anyone can help me please let me know, as I would like to find out as much as I can! My fathers name was Øyvind Bredesen and Jørgen Bredesen was my uncle. I was very little when i saw him so i cant remember him.
