I am trying to find information about the birthdate and/or place of birth for Aslaug (Ann) Nilsdatter.

 

The 1836 - 1877 church book for Botne shows that Aslaug Nilsdatter married Bent Christophersen on November 9, 1854.  I believe this is on page 270 and is item #8.  I cannot make out the handwriting for much of the entry and I hope someone can help me decipher the words.

 

It appears to show that Bent was born in Botne and was living in Botne when he was married.  It also appears that his father's name was Christopher Hansen.

 

I cannot figure our Aslaug's place of birth.  Part of it seems to start with a "T" and the next word with "P", but that is all I can make out.

 

I also cannot figure out her father's last name or his residence or any of the other words that seem to follow "Nils".

 

I would appreciate any help that I can get.

The 1865 Census gives her first name as Anne and her birth place as Tin Pr.  Which would likely be Tinn Parish, Telemark. (Tinn Prestegjeld)

Interesting an Aslaug Nilsdatter Olesrud age 19 born in 1832  moved from Tinn Telemark to Botne in 1848.

There is a Asloug Niesdatter  Espesæt born in 1831 to Niels Hansen  and Aasne Larsdatter Espesæt ? in Tinn, Telemark. See #7 right side

When Asloug Nielsdatter was confirmed in 1846 she was living with her parents Niels Hanssen and Aasne Larsdatter on the Olesrud farm.

Here is the marriage of Niels Hansen Rui and Aasne Larsdatter Bratterud in 1827 in Hovin a sub parish of Tinn parish. See#2 right page

Based on the marriage record I would say that Aasne was born in 1805 to Lars Brattrud. This is likely her baptism record.

Probably the baptism of Niels Hansen born in 1805 based on the marriage record from Ancestry.com.

Lars Bratrud listed above is likely Lars Gunlechsen living on Bratrud in the 1801 Census with wife Asloug Andersdatter .

If you look down the census list the parents of Lars are also living on the farm in 1801. They are Gunlech Nielssen born about 1717 and wife Aasne Halvorsdatter. 

 

Lars Gunleksen died in 1847.
