Margit Larsdatter

I am not sure that this is the correct forum.  I would like some help with research and maybe some advice on how I can do better research on my own.

I am researching Margit Larsdatter.

I found information about her birth.  https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/7936/110

I found information about her confirmation:  https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/7936/110

I am trying to find some more information about her.

I have gone to the following screen https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/ and entered her name, but I have not found anything relevant.

I have then gone to the following screen and looked through the church records for Tinn, Atrå, Mæl and Dal.  I used the search feature but I was not able to find anything for Margit Larsdatter or variations.

I then remembered that you had provided the following link https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/7949/84 for her sister's wedding.  I see that record is from

SAKO, Gransherad kirkebøker, F/Fb/L0002: Ministerialbok nr. II 2, 1815-1843, s. 195

(My guess is that the family moved or that Gransherad had split from Tinn.)

I thought I should check that same source for a possible wedding for Margit.

When I go back to https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/search/sources and I look for the available records for Gransherad, I can find the following book

SAKO, Gransherad kirkebøker, F/Fa/L0001: Ministerialbok nr. I 1, 1815-1843, s. 258

You will see that one book is F/Fa.... and the other is F/Fb....

Is there a way for me to be able to access F/Fb so that I can search it?

Is there a better way for me to research Margit?

Thank you for your help.

You can search the F/Fb by accessing the parish records. Go to Fylke- Telemark and Prestegjeld- Tinn.

Someone more well versed in the changes between what belonged to what parish through the years can probably explain why some records are where they are but you can read about the parishes in these two pages from Family Search.

Tinn Parish, Telemark, Norway Genealogy

Looks like you have put in the baptism record twice. Here is the confirmation record for Margit.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/279/pk00000001265207

Nr. 9

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20061211350646

Probably her sister Asloug at number 10.

Margit in the 1801 Census.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01058313001487

Might be her grandparents Gunlech Nielssen and Aasne Halvorsdatter, just below Asloug.

I do not know the scope of your interest for Margit's descendants, but one final post.

I assume that Aagot, born 1864-05-07 in Atrå sokn, is the daughter of Margit's illegitimate/only? son Kittil. The place of residence matches that on the 1865 census (Bernaas):

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/6000/100

Probably Aagot w/family in the 1910 census, judging by birth date/place:

Thank you for the information.  I wonder whether you can help me a little more.  In regards to Killit Høljesen's birth, can you tell me what you think is written in the 5th column?  I do see Margit Larsdatter's name and Bratrud and Hølje Kittilsen but I am not sure what the other words are.

Again, thank you for all that you did.
