Searching for paternal 3rd great grandmother's date of birth.

Greetings and best wishes to "The Forum." I have hopefully found a birth record for my paternal 3rd great grandmother (Rakiel Pedersdatter). But, I would like another opinion before I include it in our family  tree. This record shows 1st Jul 1752 dobt: Peder  barn: Rakiel Anna. The name Rakiel is not underlined. And, it is not very clearly written (so, there is doubt on my part). My grandmother died in 1839 Kvinesdal Parish, Liknes, Vest-Agder, Norway. I just don't know of any records that show her, as having the middle name of Anna. Would you offer your opinion/assistance in this matter? The record is located toward the middle of the second column from the left. It can be found at:

Well, thanks for the «tusen takk» :-)

Just curious: Are you Susan or Richard? Got me confused. 🤔

Richard.... Sorry for the confusion. 🙃 Susan (my wife) originally set-up this email address for both of us to use. Besides this email address, I have greaterchicago@comcast.net Time certainly appears different for those of us who are retired. 😉

Hello Even. I hope that you will indulge me once again. There is another possible record for my grandmother that fits the timeline and location of her birth. https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9580/57  I nearly skipped it, because I was not confident of my interpretation of the inscriber's handwriting. Until, that is, I found a similar use of the letter "P". Please interpret your findings for the record found 2/3 down in the far left column.

1st Aug 1749 Dobt: Pers or Peder Barn: Rachel  This date and location would coincide with the information I have found for her dates of marriage and death. Thank you.

Beste hilsener, Richard

Listed on October 2nd 1776 is the marriage of "Kiddel Osmunsen v. Sanvatne" and "Rachel Pedersdatter Høveland". The farmnames would be "vestre Sandvatn" and "Haugland" in Liknes parish (Kvinesdal): https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070608320010 (Page/Folio 177a - in the middle of the right column).

Rakel Pedersdatter is mentioned as a heir when her father died 1764: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/sk11214091214549

Her parents were Peder Ellingsen and Barbro Pedersdatter from nedre Haugland. Rakel was 14 years old i 1764, indicating that she was born 1750.

At August 1st 1749 "Rachel" was baptized in Kvinesdal as a daughter of "Per [short for Peder] Ellingsen Høueland": https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070608310610 (Page/Folio 55b in the middle of the left column).

The church books from Kvinesdal are transcribed by Kvinesdal Historielag. You can find them here: https://kvinesdalhistorielag.no/gamle-kirkeboker/

Greetings once again members of "The Forum."  I would like to formally thank all of you (especially Even and Jan) for helping me and guiding me in my quest to find my Norwegian ancestors. I must say that I feel a sense of urgency, as I will be 72 years of age this September 26th, to record as much information about my family's history, as is virtually possible. I intend to share this information with my children, in hopes that they will continue the research for future generations. For those of you who are members of ancestry.com, or familysearch.org, please feel free to peruse my family trees. I would gladly welcome your much valued assistance and advice. Tusen takk. Be well. Be safe. Your new friend, Richard
