I realize that this is an open-ended question. I will ask in general terms

 

I have ancestors who were National Soldats in Onsoy. Would they have been involved in the conflicts with Sweden in the early 1800s? I believe the dates were 1808 and 1814.

Another question: Would they have worn uniforms similar to the picture?

Yes, this is a Norwegian infantry uniform introduced in 1810. The trousers could be blue, but more often grey, as the blue fabric was more expensive.

There was a battle in Onsøy (now part of Fredrikstad) in 1814 on the final day of the Swedish-Norwegian War, where your ancestors most likely participated
