Guidance for visiting ancestorial locations in Norway - Oppdal and Aure

I plan to visit villages and farms in two municipalities in Norway where my ancestors once lived.  I am looking for a local person(s) who can assist me with language (I speak English only) and with making connections in the villages that I will be visiting.  The villages are Oppdal and Aure.

Oppdal and Aure are mentioned as villages but as municipalities.

At the Aure municipality (Aure kommune) website there is contact information on the leader of the Aure historielag:
