Could anyone help me with the ancestors of Niels Danielson and Seborg Nilsdtr (Navnløs) who are living on the Sælen farm in 1801. They were married in Jølster in 1782 - March 31. Niels was born around 1755 and Seborg around 1752.Thank you

Niels Daniels. was from Greipstad in Jølster. His wife Seborg was from Nordre Navnløs, which in this case seems to be the name of the farm. Like you said, they were at Sælemyr from about 1786 till after 1801. According to the bygdebok from Fana they had five children: Elias, Danilla, Nils, Bendiks and Synneva before they moved from Sælemyr.Niels is certainly related to Daniel Jakobsen Greipstad, born 1718, dead 1769, who ran the Sælemyr farm from 1759 untill he died. But the book does not mention Niels as one of his children (only Brita, Gjertrud, Johannes, Dorta and Daniella - their mother was Kari JOhannesdtr (1725-1811).Niels was born before Daniel came to Fana, so this might be the reason why he is not recorded as one of the children... Bygdeboks are not always right!But with the farmnames Greipstad (in Jølster) and Nordre Navnløs (also Jølster), you might be able to get closer to their parents?Good luck!
