Hei Alle,How do you find immigration records fra Sverige to Norge? My oldeforeldre immigrated to Nøterøy fra Sverige in the late 1800's (between 1880-1890?, but definitely prior to 1886). My bestefar was born in Nøterøy in 1886 and baptised in Tønesberg in 1901. (I have a copy of his Konfirmation papers). How does someone find Emigration/immigration records?Thank you.Arne Mikal

You wii probaly find them in FT1900 census for Nøtterø, select "statsborgerskap", then "all" and you will have several "svensk" or "Sverige" etc.If you give us some names we can help further. Arne

Tusen Takk Arne,Severin Karlsen (Karlsson?) b. 1854, son of Karl Nilsen (Nilsson?), and his wife Augusta Antonsdotter b. 1850. Their son Karl Gustaf Karlsen (my bestefar) was born in Nøterøy in 1886.That is all I have, except the family is in the 1900 census in Tønesberg.Arne Mikal

Hilsen fra CanadaI have learned that Augusta Antonsdotter b. 22 Jun 1850 emigrated to Tjøme in 1879, from Bro (Kville) Brohuslan in Sweden. She moved to the farm Haug in Tjøme. Is there anyway to find out if she was married then anf if her husband Severin Karlsson (Karlsen) was with her?Tusen takkArne Mikal

Hei AlleSeverin Karlsen was also on the farm Haug in 1879. I have information that he had a brother on Tjøme as well and Albert Karlsen might have been a son of Severin's brother. With this many family members coming over where would the immigration records be stored? Are there records?Thank you for any help.Arne Mikal
