Bente has been helping me to gain information on Elling Johannesen. His relatives I know in America. They want to know about the relatives of Elling's brother Goro, born 1830. He would also be known as Goro Johannesen, would he not? And in the 1865 census be 35 years old, with wife and children, hopefully still in the gard of Breandhaugen in Ringebu. Goro is the name of a girl. The children of Johan Ellings. and Synøv Olsd. Godlirønningen: Ole b. 16/6 1832, Berit 2/8 1835, Elling 11/1 1829 and Goro 27/11 1830. 2 boys and 2 girls.You can find more about them if you do following: Look at the top of the this page(I belive you use this page in English), 1)choose Area at that time, 2)choose Oppland 3)0520 Ringebu, 4)choose the first one of Mariages Ringebu 1696-1865. It is the birthrecord, just wrong name. Now you can find dead, married and born. Good luck.
