[#12718] Soldat no 27 in Fredriksvern, Vestfold (Peder Olsen Bjertnes) 1831.

One of my ancestors is listed at the christening (1//9/1831) of one of his children as ‘soldat nr. 27 Peder Olsen Bjertnæs’ in Fredriksvern (Stavern) kirkebok. (See tema 11373 innlegg no 35). It is a strong possibility that he came from Bjertnes in Sandsvær in Buskerud (same tema, innlegg no 29).However as a serving soldier he must be recorded in some military rolls somewhere, but to which regiment or company, and would such military records list his place of birth and/or residence at time of enrollment?I have consulted the book, Fredriksvern Verft 1750-2000, but this ir rather vague as to the regiment/company attached to the Verft after 1818 when “..Telemarkske nasjonale infanteriregiment,.. ble borte. Bataljonene ble fordelt på Thelemarkske nationale jægerkorps og Numedalske nastionale musketerkorps. De gevorbne ..kompanier .. i Fredriksvern ble ... samlet i egne korps direkte under 2 Akerhusiske infanteribrigade (og) Kristiansandske infanteribrigade”.Do any of the brukarforum readers have sufficient knowledge of military history to help me find out in which regiment/company Peder was likely to have served, and hopefully does anybody have easy access to such military rolls to see what information they contain on Peder. Mvh Vidar.
