Welcome to the National Archives forum. Here you will be given advice and guidance on simple questions that do not acquire looking up in archives or other case management. The debate forums “Users own forum” and “Interpretation of scanned sources” are not operated by the National Archives.
Our aim is that all questions get answered either by us or one of our users. Users are welcome to reply in all forums where they see that they have something to contribute!
