Any information about Nils Mikkelsen, born in Trondheim in 1833? He emigrated to the USA and married Louise Lo (Carlson), daughter of Per Lo from Steinkjer, Norway. (Per Lo, Louise Lo, and Hilmer Lo (brother of Louise) all emigrated from Steinkjer, Norway leaving nobody behind).Nils Mikkelsen and Louise had a son. John (Johan) Christian Nilsen was born in the USA in 1860. He later changed his last name to Nelson. I could not find any information in the USA because of the early dates. The Mormon Church doesn't have any record either. The family settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but Minneapolis is willing to sell the information for $200.-, not release it for free.I'm in Trondheim, Norway today looking for information about my ancestors. The church and the library have directed me to the Digital Archive. I sure would like to find some living descendants in Norway or anywhere for that matter. He married a girl from Steinkjær, could this be a girl that he knew from his earlier days back in Norway? Maybe he came from the same area?Where did they live in 1880?
