[#16233] Pastor Otto Jacobson-grandfather of Sheriff Otter Jacobson/Nordrehov?

The Nordrehov bygdebok says that Otto Jacobson was pastor in Nordrehov from 1660 until his death in 1690. And that he had 3 sons and 3 daughters. The only child named in the book is Maren Ottosdtr.Otter Jacobson Wager/Vaker was lensmann in Nordrehov in 1717. Is is possible that he is the grandson of Pastor Otto Jacobson?Mary Farrell

Mary,in a book '800 år i Kongens tjeneste - Ringerikes lensmenn' from 2002 Otto Jacobssøn Vaker is mentioned on page 56, stating that he was lensmann from 1725 - 1739. There is no further info. on him. His predecessor as lensmann was Ole Pederesen Raa (serving from 1712 - 25).Ole Bjørn

Many thanks, Ole BjørnI have been completely unable to find a burial record for the Sheriff Otto Jacobsen, but now that I know he stayed in Nordrehov at least until 1739 I can search that microfilm more thoroughly. And hopefully can find where he moved to after he left Vaker.The names of his children also lead me to believe that he is the grandson of the pastor. Alas, no proof.Mary
