I have a query now with Maren Olsdatter (14)The link to Marens marriage shows she married Hans Andersen from Sandholmen on 27 Nov 1832 Nr 9 ID 1674 It also says she was born in 1802. The marriage record for Ole Andersen nand Kristine Marie Jacobsd. shows they were married in 1803 (after her birth) Is this correct. Is there a birth and death record available for Maren? Is the name of Maren's husband's father known?

The 1814 Tjølling census shows Maren as 9 at Eftang s. Was she born 1804/1805?

Hei Jeff! Maren was born nov. 29th 1802.Hans Andersen’s father is unknown. At that time, patronymic was not written down, only bridesmaids in the church register.Census with recorded age or date is not to trust. At entry in the birthregister you have to see 2 years on both side of stated date, ( year-age).Hans Andersen was fisherman and cotter and he’s death was death by drowning, together with the son Ole Kristian in 1851.Children:(1.) Hei Jeff!Confused, well that was a tryout to find more information around Rølanda and place it on a map. Rølanda church is marked on a map south of Ed with a cross. (another map). More information is send today.I am looking for pictures and any text from the region, but it’s nothing to find on the nett. Rølanda seems to be a white dot. Seek in all Swedish genealogical forum give no result. Rölanda have church register from 1670. Hei KjellThank you again. I have found that the family search organisation has a microfilm index and church records for 'Sweden, Älvsborg, Rölanda'. Is the same place as Rölanda in Dalsland. If it is I can get a film on loan from Utah to Adelaide to look at it.I am working again on the east coast of Australia for about a week so I will take my documents with me and look at the pictures and maps.Jeff

I am now searching for some details of Karen Olsdtr from Hafallen Hedrum who married Lars Sorrenssen from Stensholt Hedrum . When did they marry? I think she was born about 1755 and died about 1837. Is this correct? Was her father Ole Halversen and her mother Marthe Mathisdtr? When did they marry?

They married July 7th 1780 in Hedrum. I can't find Karen Olsdatter baptised 1755. There is a Karen Olsdatter baptised November 27th 1754, but is the daughter of Ole Mathisen, Ludal, in fact brother of Marthe Mathisdatter.

Kristian - Thank you for the information I have found a marriage of Ole Halvorsen to Marthe Mattiesdatter on 25 Oct 1751 in Hedrum (no. 11) Are these the parents of Karen Olsdatter who married Lars Sorenssen in 1780 The groom was from Onue

The married couple you are referring to is the one living at Ono 1762, according to the ekstraskatt. The ekstraskatt doesn't list children under the age of 12. However, I find two children baptised; Kirsten (Sep 27th 1758) and Halvor (Feb 28th 1762). As the churchbook lists no Karen, it's impossible to draw the conclution you are trying to draw.There is of course a possibility that Ole and Marte spent some years in another parish, and thus may have baptised a girl named Karen there. The best would be to obtain a probate record for Ole and/or Marte, if such exists.I don't have the Hedrum bygdebok at hand; perhaps it can offer a solution.

Anders Eriksson (10) m Inger Marie Borresd 1879 AnneliI found your Anders Eriksson He was born 1829 in the farm area Bon in Rolanda parish (Sweden).He emigrated to Norway after being a widower 1867 in 1879 from Rolanda parish His daughter and son had already left for Norway by then.

Ole Halverson from the farm Onue married Marthe Matthiesdatter from Lurdal on 25 oct 1751 in Hedrum. I am trying to find a birth date for their daughter Karen Olesdatter (married Lars Sorrens 1780) probably born at Lurdal (maybe Onue) One Karen was baptised in Hedrum 5 aug 1753, another on 27 Nov 1754. Which is Ole and Marthe's daughter. Both seem to be from Lurdal. Can anyone with the bygdebook for Hedrum help?

The one baptised Nov 27th 1754 has Ole Halvorsen Ono as one of the witnesses, hence she can't be his daughter. This Karen is most likely daughter of Ole Mathisen Ludal and wife Berte Karlsdatter.Now, the Karen baptised Aug 5th 1753 is also said to be a daughter of Ole Ludal. Obviously this is the same Ole Mathisen Ludal as above, perhaps this Karen died infantly.I'll try to have a look in the bygdebok one day.

Where was Ole Halvorsen (71) born? Who was the father of Marthe Mathisdate who married Ole Halvorsen. Was it Mathis Paulsen or Mathis Jonsen. Was she born at N.Gjome? in 1717?

Marte Mathisdatter, born ca. 1717 (at Solberg in Hedrum), was daughter of Mathis Jonsen, born ca. 1661. Mathis was son of Jon Halvorsen, born ca. 1625, who farmed Solberg, and wife Åse (Pedersdatter?).Ancestors of Ole Halvorsen are unknown.

Was Mathis Jonsen b1661 from Solberg Hedrum? He had a brother Elias b.1664 in Hedrum. I have found information that shows Jon Halvorsen born 1639 or 1641 in Hedrum , probably Solberg d.1705 and his wife AAse Pedrsdatter also born in Hedrum in 1644. They were married in Hedrum in 1663? Jon Halverson's father was Halvor Jacobssen b 1609/1615 at Solberg and died in 1670/1675 and his mother Kari Anunsdtr . It seems that Halvor Jacobssen's father was Jacob Solberg. Can this be verified from the Solberg entry in the bygdebok What dates does the bygdebok show for the births and deaths? Does it show where AAse and Kari were from?
