I am searching fo some details of my great grandfathers son from his marriage in Sweden My great-granfather Anders Eriksson moved from Rölanda Sweden to Norway in 1879 and married in Tjolling in 1879. It was his second marriage. I have found his later life in Norway. Now I am looking for his son from his first marriage in Sweden. The son was Jonas Andersson born 22 Dec 1866 in Törsängen, Rölanda, Sweden. Swedish records show he moved to Norway on 30 Oct 1874. His mother had died in 1867. His father (Anders Erikkson) moved Larvik in 1879. Is there someway to trace Jonas Andersson in Norway

You say the boy moved to Norway in 1874, 8 years old, without his father. And the father moved to Norway 5 years after his son? It does not seem reasonable. Here something must be wrong.Or could it be, the father moved to somewhere in Norway together with his son, Jonas, in 1874, and they later moved to Vestfold and the father got married in Tjølling in 1879.

Berit,The Swedish records show the boy (Jonas Andersson)moved 30 Oct 1874. Other relatives had moved to Sweden earlier. He probably went to live with them. I have found an Uncle of Jonas (Anders Eriksson's brother) also Jonas Andersson b1841 Sweden living in Larvik in the 1900 census.

From the same family Jonas (b.1866) sister, Emma Kristina Andersdotter moved to Norway on 31 Mar 1777 (2 years before her father (Anders Eriksson) Petter Erik Eriksson (brother of Anders) b. 25 Jul 1833 moved from Törsängen Norway to Larvik Norway on 14 May 1879. Jonas (uncle of Jonas) b.1841 moved 9 Nov 1879. Jan Magnus Eriksson (brother of Anders) B.16 Dec 1843 move from Törsängen to Norway on 28 Feb 1873 . Perhaps the boy was sent to be with him. Anna Kajsa Eriksson (sister of Anders) move to Norway 07 Nov 1879. She was married to Adolf Andreasson in 1872 with 2 daughters Anna sofia 3 Adolfsdotter b.1873 and Maja Katrina b1875 in Sweden. I am looking for any of these people or their descendants . I have found Jonas b1841 in the 1900 census

I have found Jonas b1841 in Larvik in the 1900 census but not the others.
