I am searching for ancestors of my 4th g-grandmother, Anna Arnesdatter Bøe. She was born about 1744 at Bø indre. I believe her father may have been Arne Jacobsen, who died at age 60 in 1775 at Bø indre. I have found a probate record for him -- page 117b, protocol 16a (Stryn).Can you please tell me what information is contained in this record... in particular, if Arne had a daughter Anna, who would have been about 31 at the time of his death. Also, if it names his widow and any other children.I appreciate any assistance...Helsing, Patricia

Hi Barbara,Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, this confirms that the Arne Jacobsen who died in 1775 was not my ancestor. I was hoping that he had a daughter Anna. She was my 4th g-grandmother.In the Innvik burial records, I also found two more possibilities at Bøe, Arne Jacobsen (d. 63 y.o. in 1769) and Arne Arnesen (d. 76 y.o. in 1789). But I could not find probate records for either one. I have posted on the Users' Forum. Hopefully, someone will have the bygdebok for Stryn and solve this mystery.I appreciate your help.Helsing, Patricia

Hei Patricia I have look in the BB for Stryn Indre Bøe farm. It tells me that Son inlaw Jakob Jenssen Vik get the farm in 1766 married Anne Arnesdatter Bøe 8/6-1766. Father to Anne is Arne Arnesen Fivelstad died 76 years and mother Marte Jonsdtr. died 63 years old in 1784. Hilsen Rune

Thank you, Rune, for this information. I found a probate record for Marte Jonsdtr at Bø-Ytre (1781-1785, page 441b, protocol 17). I wonder if there is any more information in this file that might help me.Also, I looked for the farm Fivelstad. The only one I could find was in 1523 Sunnelven, Møre og Romsdal. Do you think this is the right farm?One last thing -- does the bygdebok have a birth date for Anne Arnesdatter?Thank you again for your help.Helsing, Patricia
