Gudbrand Andersen, f. ?? og hustru, Anne Maria Andersdtr, f. ?? ikke gift på Hadeland,fikk attest for utv. 4.4.1862 fra Gran sammen med barna Kjersti, f. 08.10.1842, Ingeborg, f. 16.08.1845, Andreas, f. 26.03.1850 og Maria, f. 14.03.1852. Sønnen Anders, f. 12.12.1840, emigrerte 1861. Gudbrand og Anne Maria hadde også barna, Gudbrand, f. 09.11.1847, død 04.12.1852, Gudbrand, f. 29.11.1854, død 02.01.1856 og Gudbjør, f. 19.03.1857, død ? Ingen av barna er døpt på Hadeland. Vi vet hvordan det gikk med familien i Amerika, men etterkommerne der vet ikke hvor de kom fra ved innflytting til Gran. Kjenner noen til familien? MVH Ole.

Jeg vet ikke svaret, men i FS står det at Kjersti ble dpt. 13/11 1842 Gran. Andreas dpt. 9/5 1850 Gran og Gudbrand dpt. 21/11 1847 Gran. Merkelig at de har døpsdatoene om stedet er feil.

Ole, barna Kjersti 1842, Ingeborg 1845, Gulbrand 1847, Andreas 1850, Maria 1852, Gudbrand 1855(tvilling ,den andre døde) og Gudbjør 1857 er alle født og døpt på Gran. Jeg tror familien er fra Land.

Berit og Hans, beklager, en skal ikke stole på alt en får fra Amerika. Mora er bare kalt Mari(a) ved dåpene til barna, derfor fikk jeg de ikke fram ved lettvint søk. Alle barna er faktisk døpt i Gran, men foreldrene finner jeg ikke. Skal undersøke i Bjørkvikarkivet. Takk. Ole.

It seems i need to go out on the limb again--i can only suggest using usgenweb to follow up on these possibles(i hope you read/write English as i do not know much Norsk).. from the 1870 US Federal census, Wisconsin/Iowa/Ridgeway/m593/1718/page 264: Gubrand Anderson, 63, with wife Joann,(?, hard to read). Not so far away: 1870/Iowa/Winneshiek/Decorah Twp/m593/426/page 115 is Anne(Andreas?) Anderson, age 20 and on page 132 is Maria Anderson, age 18. and in Springfield Twp/m593/426/page 284 is Guldrand(sic) Anderson, age 12. These are the only close fit, searching for Norway born; mistakes are possible!?! In the 1880 is Andrew Anderson, widower, age 41, Fairview,Monona,Iowa, film 1254357/t9-0357/page 39a. ..living with Isaac Bakke family. Roger Thauland

Well i am going to change limbs, about the senior Gulbrand/gudbrand anyway. At family search, 1880 census, living at Hegbert in Swift county, Minnesota, is farmer Engebregt Wiggersen, age 35, who married Ingeborg, age 34; and living with them is Gulbrand Andersen, age 67 and Marie, age 62. Is this perfect or what?? ...and the first of 5 daughters was born in IOWA!! yaya, Roger.

Hello Roger. The main question was where Gulbrand and (Anne)Maria were born and married in Norway. They are not married in Hadeland or Ådal, the district West of where they lived from about 1840 to their emigration in 1862.We know that the son, Anders, lived in Iowa until 1868 when he and his wife moved to Clay Co.SD. In 1882 they went to Union Co.SD. Gulbrand 67 and Marie 62 can be the rigth people, I have to ask their descendants in Sioux Falls. Thank you. Mvh. Ole.

Ingebor Wiggerson d on Jan 22, 1908; i asked for an obit lookup which might help, and perhaps her death cert may have the info?; perhaps her parents can be found in MN, Swift or Norman counties i think. Roger.

If you can provide an email address i can send the obits of Engebrigt and his wife and daughter Gina (partial). He was born March 11, 1843 and has a brother Severt...perhaps a farm book will help? His wife was born 1846 at 'Halland'. Roger.
